380 / 450V 3 Slipring

This type of low voltage slipring can be manufactured from scratch or using the existing boss. All sliprings are pressure tested to 1000V after manufacturing. Brush - holders are available.

Bush

This bush is common in the paper industry and is manufactured from ET10 material. There is normally no liquids or gasses present in the application of this part. The shore hardness is less than that of seal material and therefore will wear more readily than any metal parts that is running against, therefore preserving the more expensive shafts.

Seal

Where liquids / chemicals are present without the occurence of temperatures exceeding 400 C, and good sealing is required, this type of seal is used. Being double impregnated, the carbon is very dense. B520 and Schunk FH 42 Z 2 material is used for this application is very hard and normally requires lapping on the seal face to ensure a tight seal.

Part Seal

This seal is made of seperate sections ground to the exact angles and then machined to exact O/D and I/D. It is held together with a garter spring to ensure the correct and constant tightness on a shaft. The most common application for this kind of seal is in the fan industry where normal bearings would not be able to seal gasses being extracted. The garter spring ensures sealing even after wear has already occurred. This application is not meant for liquids since the common material used is ET10, and leakage between the segments is possible. Multi segmented seals are also manufactured from PTFE mixed with apercentage of carbon. There is no rule for the amount of segments (Split, 3-4-6-8 part) and the method of tension being used to apply pressure for sealing. This particular material is used due to its wear capabilities and temperature characteristics.

Vanes

Used in the chemical/ fuel industry to measure quantities. This vane is used inside fuel pumps at filling stations and cargo - fuel dispensing pumps. Its sole purpose is to measure quantity of fuel being dispensed and works in pairs through a rotating center.

Vacuum Pump Vanes

These vanes are used in vacuum pumps and is machined with diamond sintered tooling to ensure evenness. A variety of materials can be used depending on the application and size. These vanes can be machined to any thickness up to 300mm long, using a vacuum table to ensure no bowing occurs.

Rods

A variety of rods for the casting and welding industry are manufactured from 3, 4, 5 , 6.5, 9.5 x 300 mm and 13, 16, 19 x 150 mm - 20 mm upwards to 250 / 300 mm length.

Crucibles

Used for dispensing molten metal for casting purposes.

OTHER

Waterways - For casting prior to diamond sintering of Rock/Drilling heads.
